5 Things I like about Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom !

I recently watched a not so recent movie with my mother called Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (Some pages are missing in between). The movie inspired by a real life incident had released 2 years back and was commercially successful with remakes in other languages.

The story revolves around 4 friends. One of them – the protagonist loses his memory a day before his wedding due to injury incurred while playing cricket. The challenges encountered by the friends to get the protagonist married to his love interest whom he barely remembers is the main plot of the film.

Getting back to the title of the blog. So what I really liked about this Tamil movie ?

Celebrates friendship in its entirety

Be it the main characters, their struggles, the story all speak just one language – friendship.

Clean and healthy comedy

Watching a movie and laughing out with my mother is one of our best times we spent together. That way this movie promises the entire family a good time.

Tight script with a tight story-line

There is never a dull moment in the movie. No part of the movie felt like an unnecessary addition.

In-built suspense that kept me hooked

So when the friend would get back his memory! Will it be when he sees his love interest or his parents ?? (Not sure if other viewers felt that but it was sure a suspense for me 🙂 )

Some of the biggest risks in life can be the biggest turning points

The three friends take a big chance to get their friend married on the assurance received from the doctor that he would get better soon which turned out well.

For the reader’s assurance the girl and her family were not cheated. The temporary memory loss of the protagonist was only temporary. Had it not been for his friends he might have lost the love of his life! On learning about his mental state the wedding would have halted with more severe consequences following suit.

God couldn’t be everywhere and he created parents. Our parents couldn’t be everywhere with us and so God created Friends too! I guess this movie lives up to this theme. One needs to watch the movie to feel it 🙂
